This lovely period Cotswold stone barn conversion is set within the owner’s grounds and only 100 yards from the village green and award winning pub serving home cooked food. Converted to a very high specification, while retaining many period features including exposed beams, leaded windows and an open Cotswold stone fireplace. The cottage has an enclosed garden with lawns, shrubs and fragrant lavender. With its pretty fabrics and furnishings this beautiful hideaway makes an ideal holiday home for all age groups and with the added benefit of a ground floor en suite double bedroom, we feel sure families will enjoy their stay here.

A variety of footpaths lead almost from the doorstep taking you through some very pretty countryside. One of the gems of the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden, is only 2 ½ miles. Here you will find a wide variety of restaurants and smaller good quality shops and The Cotswold Way walk begins in the Square of the town. Stratford-upon-Avon is 13 miles and here you will find something for all the family including river trips, the theatre (Royal Shakespeare Company); you might like to visit Shakespeare’s houses or you can go for an open topped bus ride around the town. With many other activities and places of interest a short drive away, Walnut Cottage makes a perfect Cotswolds touring base.

Accommodation

Ground floor - Charming conservatory/dining room ideal for a family get together. One step down to the very nicely fitted and well equipped kitchen, while off the kitchen is a useful utility room. Very cosy and comfortable sitting room with open Cotswold stone fireplace (logs provided) and 32” Flat screen colour TV with Sky & DVD. Off the sitting room is a most attractive double bedroom with en suite wet room having shower, WC, wash hand basin & heated towel rail (This bedroom is ideal for a member of the family needing a little extra support.)

First floor – Pretty twin bedroom; family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and wash hand basin; a very pretty king size double bedroom with lovely country views. Useful stair gate at top of the stairs.
