This beautifully converted detached barn is set in the tranquil
village of Poole Keynes with its pretty church and charming cottages
and is the perfect base from which to explore this fascinating part
of the Cotswolds. The cottage is situated in the grounds of an impressive
Grade II listed farmhouse and has the benefit of a fully enclosed
lawned garden where you can sit and enjoy pretty countryside views,
including an orchard and meadow with resident sheep and goat.
The fine market town of Cirencester, once the capital of Roman
Britain, is just 5 miles away. Here you can visit the Corinium Museum
and St Michael’s Abbey or simply browse around the wide variety
of quality shops the town has to offer. A 20 minute drive will take
you to the Chedworth Roman villa, hidden away at Yanworth, Bibury,
with its trout farm and beautiful terraced cottages and the Cotswold
Museum is at Northleach, all an easy drive along the Fosseway (A429)
old Roman road.
The area offers nature lovers and walkers plenty to do. The Thames
Path, which meanders through several rural counties by peaceful
water meadows rich in wildlife, can be joined at nearby Kemble.
The world famous Westonbirt Arboretum (beautiful any time of the
year but especially colourful during May/June and Autumn) is near
the attractive market town of Tetbury (approx 10 miles from the
cottage.) An easy drive away is the Cotswold Wildlife Park at Burford,
a wonderful day out for adults and children alike while Berkley
Castle (National Trust) and Slimbridge Bird Sanctuary - both in
the same direction, are excellent to visit. For those seeking a
more active stay, the award winning Cotswold Water Park is approx
3 miles and offers a range of exciting activities including windsurfing,
waterskiing, boat hire and angling.

burner, two comfy sofas and French windows opening into the garden.
Attractive, well equipped kitchen/breakfast room. Stairs lead from
the sitting room to the
First floor: Two pretty double bedrooms, bathroom with shower over
the bath.

Colour TV with DVD player, electric effect wood burner, electric
hob and oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher. Fridge. Freezer.
(Use of tumble drier if required.) Shower over the bath. Night storage
central heating, electricity, linen and towels included. A guest
bed can be provided for a child if required.
The property benefits from an Internet connection.
High chair by arrangement. Outside is a fully enclosed lawned garden
with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars.
One small dog welcome @ £20 per dog per week – not
allowed in the bedrooms please. Sorry, no smoking in the property.
