Blockley is a unique Cotswold village built into a wooded valley with a mill stream running through. Part of its charm is created by the many mills now converted into homes that nestle by the stream and great care has been taken to ensure the village remains unspoilt.

Maple Cottage is one of a small development of Cotswold stone properties set into a hillside leading down to the mill stream and old silk mill. A short stroll takes you to the village green surrounded by beautiful scenery and where children can play or have a picnic (see village page.) Within a pleasant stroll are two inns and a restaurant all serving delicious meals. The village also has a general store/post office. Footpaths abound and walkers will find plenty to explore leading in all directions taking you through some of the most beautiful scenery to be found in this area.

Maple cottage is ideal for four but cosy enough for two and built on different levels with the sitting room situated on the lower level and leading out through French doors to a pretty south facing and secluded garden. Maple is ideal for a relaxing break, but if you want to go sight seeing, Blockley is a brilliant village from which to explore the whole Cotswold region, with rail station at Moreton in Marsh, 3 ½ miles away. Bourton on the Water and Stratford on Avon with all their attractions are 20 minutes drive.

Accommodation

Ground floor - Entrance hall, cloakroom WC, well equipped diner kitchen, 3 or 4 steps down to lower ground floor and sitting room with living flame gas fire.

First floor - family bathroom with hand held shower over bath, shaver point; twin bedroom, double bedroom with en suite shower room + WC. Small bedroom suitable for cot.

Services

Gas central heating, electricity, linen and towels included. Colour TV, radio/cd player, washing machine, fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven. Private parking for 2 cars. Please, no smoking in the property.
